(EVK) Menu delay during selection #373

To replicate:

Press the menu button to bring up menus
Press menu button again to advance the menus

I expect the advancement to be nearly instantaneous but it takes a long time to update. Is there anything we can do to make the menu system more responsive? This seems to be considerably slower than previous models.
