gulpfile gulp.task not compatible with gulp 4 #760

assert.js:42 throw new errors.AssertionError({ ^

AssertionError [ERR_ASSERTION]: Task function must be specified

after installing all the requirements through npm install, and i call gulp, gulp throw that error

can you give me a guide or walkthrough
