Secret Organization #13

Enhancement request - enabled possibly via a special formatting within the
CSV file, the program could organize passwords into groupings.

Within my organization, I have over 150 passwords I have to keep track of.
70 of them are for one program, 10 for another, etc. In common usage, a
user could seperate his website passwords from his work passwords and his
pin numbers, etc.

Could be quite useful. Thanks for your consideration.

I prefer searching and filtering to grouping. To achieve the functionality you
desire, place keywords into the notes of your secrets. For example, if you put
the
word "website" in the notes, then you can find all "website" secrets using the
full
text search feature by typing:

   .website

Note that the . in front of the word is significant in order to do full text
search
instead of prefix search. An advantage of this scheme is that a given secret
can
belong to more than one grouping by placing more than one keyword into the
secret's note.

Please see the project home page for complete details on how to use these
features.

How about making tagging (which is effectively what you're doing) a bit more
recognised so that you can select from previously used tags (as other apps do)
to
reduce the chance of typos in the comments field.

Another benefit of categories is allow collecting work secrets together so that
when
you leave a work place you can easily delete all those secrets.
