Deletion of individual secrets #69

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.When I delete an individual secret it disappears from secrets only to
reappear next time I log in. Do I need to delete the entire secrets folder
to delete one secret?
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
version 1.5 on htc desire

Please provide any additional information below.

Deletion of one secret should work. Can you provide the exact steps you use to
delete
a secrets? Thanks.

Hi, I enter the secrets application and then open an individual secret and on
the
menu press delete. Then when I look at the list of secrets the one that I
deleted
has disappeared, then I exit secrets. The next time I enter secrets all the
ones
that I have deleted have reappeared!

Thanks for the detailed explanation. That is a bug.

Does the same thing happen if you create a new secret? That is, if you create
a new
secret, exit the program, and come back in, is the new secrets still there?

I can add individual secrets or import multiple secrets from .csv file with no
problem at all, it is only deletion that is causing a problem. Thinking about
it I
have only tried deleting single entries from a multiple entry import could
this
have something to do with the problem?

Secrets displays the total number of secrets you have in the title bar, at the
top
left of the list. Does this number go down when you delete a secret, exit, and
come
back?

If so, then maybe you are seeing duplicate copies of the same secret that have
not yet
been deleted?

FYI Originally as I deleted each secret the total number decreased but when I
exited
and reentered the number had increased back to the original total. I then
turned off
phone, for the first time since installing this application, restarted and
entered
secrets. Now everything is working as it should do and the app seems to be more
responsive and generally running a lot better than before. Thanks for your help
and
now a great app.

Glad to hear its working, although I'm not sure I can explain why restarting
the phone
would change anything. I'll close this issue for, but please do open another
one if
the problem recurs. Thanks.
