Download link produces "Failed - no file" error #47

I'm using the collection component to upload files to a disk outside of the public storage folder. When I try to download the file using the "download" link in the component, Chrome produces an empty file with a "Failed - No file" error.

Does the collection component support files outside of the public storage folder?

I'm using Media Library v9, Laravel 8, PHP 7.4.
