Feature request: Titanium version #3

AIR has been extremely slow and memory hungry on all platforms I've tried it on, on various machines.

Does it depend on AIR in particular, or could it run on Titanium or similar?

User issue tracking is done on help.getspaz.com

Dev issue tracking is done at spaz.lighthouseapp.com

Please file tickets there. thanks!

Shortly: yes, switching to Titanium has been on our roadmap for a long time. I doubt you'll find it significantly less mem-hungry though. Browser runtimes are NOT known for being svelte -- just watch mem usage of any desktop browser app.

AIR has a bit more memory overhead than most browser runtimes. But that's a minor issue, CPU usage and responsiveness are a big problem with AIR.

funkatron commented 13 years ago

yes, it's true that base CPU consumption is a bit better in Titanium. For that and many other reasons, we plan on switching. More help in dev == switching faster.
