I discovered Hugo Apero theme about two weeks ago and had never really used GitHub before. Last night, I spent four hours trying to create the shell for a personal website on GitHub and installing the Apero theme in R (I'm probably not using the correct terminologies because it's all new to me and I don't really know what I was doing). I ended the night realizing that maybe Apero is not my optimal choice and maybe I should try out doing it through Quarto. Tonight, before starting another round of aimless trail and error, I thought to look up the styles of Quarto websites people have created. All this is to describe the happiness and revelation when I found and read your post!!!! Your post has everything I wanted to learn but didn't expect to exist. You have saved me from hours of frustrating learning curve. I'm so excited to get started now!!! THANK YOU!!!

Hi @yingu6! Thank you for your kind comment, I'm very happy to hear that the blog post was so helpful to you. 😊 Learning curves can be rough, and I'm glad this post could save you some of that frustration -- that's precisely why I wrote it! Your comment helped me notice that there was a little bug with my website titles and utterances settings, because it didn't show alongside other comments for this blog post. You are welcome to leave your comment on my site again if you like, but otherwise it will still remain here on GitHub for others to see. Thanks again Yin!
