File Associations #303

It would be great to be able to associate file extensions to specific programming languages in order to have syntax highlighting for non-popular programming languages. Personally, I rely on this feature in any code editor I use.

I second this. I am working on files with the ending '.gml'. The syntax is very similar to Javascript, so I would definitely use JS highlighting and be happy with it.

Renaming or copying files feels like a temporarily solution at best.

There's a workaround now where you can select the language mode in the bottom status bar. It is not a permanent solution however.
