Missing data files #1

Hello Joana / Mark

I came across your excellent tutorial on analyzing NGS data using Linux - and have been working my way through it

the "Learning Unix" section was all fine, but when I got to "Handling NGS data", there seems to be some missing data files.

For example, I could not find wgs.R1.fastq.gz and P_nyererei_v2.fasta.gz was not in the data section.

Have these files been removed or renamed?

Or am I looking in the wrong place?

thanks

Peter

Hi Peter, My apologies for replying to this so late. It has been quite a hectic start to term this year.  These files are too large for us to host on github. In fact, the wgs.R1.fasta.gz file is just placeholder file for the tutorial – you could use any fastq file for this. Please see Joana’s 2018 Molecular Ecology paper for links for the full dataset and also the reference genome. Best wishes Mark From: pedur1 ***@***.***>Date: Saturday, 16 October 2021 at 04:45To: speciationgenomics/data ***@***.***>Cc: Subscribed ***@***.***>Subject: [speciationgenomics/data] Missing data files (#1)Hello Joana / MarkI came across your excellent tutorial on analyzing NGS data using Linux - and have been working y way through itthe "Learning Unix" section was all fine, but when I got to "Handling NGS data", there seems to be some missing data files. For example, I cold not find wgs.R1.fastq.gz and P_nyererei_v2.fasta.gz are not in the data section.Have they been removed or renamed?Or am I looking in the wrong place?thanksPeter—You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.Reply to this email directly, view it on GitHub, or unsubscribe.Triage notifications on the go with GitHub Mobile for iOS or Android.
