3 years ago She would like the accession form to automatically mark if all items from the accession have been deaccessioned. However, she may have items in the accession that are not cataloged and they sometimes find items that are partof the accession they didn’t realize they still had.There may be items in their collections that are not associated with an accession record because they were brought into the collection before the procedure to give each item a number was in place. Any new objects entering the collection will have an accession number. She requested the collection object record show if the item has been deaccessioned.
Leslie Skibinski (PRI) process involves creating a single deaccession for the year. It will include multiple lots and lots easily include up to 6000 or more specimens. Her workflow would include 20 -25 accessions and 2000 lots and 20,000 specimens.
A single deaccesion needs to include 25 Accessions cataloged lots with collection object numbers cataloged lots with ISBN (alt.) numbers cataloged lots with no unique number
so first the accessions need to be created then a gift created then items in the gift deaccessioned close the gift/deaccession
reopen and repeat to add more items in each category
ensure that numbers in the original collection object adjust ensure that a query can be created of all collection objects BUT without the deaccessions
