When creating a new view definition, you are offered to choose existing one as a base in a list like this:

Keep the dialog content as it, but move it to the side-bar
To the right of the side-bar, there will be the actual preview of the form
Clicking on a different form on the side-bar lets you quickly switch between the available form definitions before committing to one (right now once you selected one, if you wish to change it, you will have to go back and select another one)
By default when the dialog opens, it should automatically have one view definition selected (either just the first one, or some smarter logic)
Once user is satisfied with their choice, they can press on the "Select" button in the bottom right corner
