What would happen if the mote reboots and for any reason there's some garbage in the serial? We would enter the command-line-interface and never leave, until the battery is exhausted.
Probably better to be paranoid and configure the watchdog to automatically reboot the mote after
a few minutes of inactivity. By inactivity we understand no valid command is entered.
