Icade buttons are hardcoded in this way
iCade KEY MAPPINGS
TOP: [RED/COIN] [BLACK/EXIT] [BLACK/Y] [WHITE/B]
BOT: [RED/START] [BLACK/OPTION] [BLACK/A] [WHITE/X]
You can use internal mame redefine to adjust it pressing con+start

Is this the same forced layout for the recently released iTunes Store version?
I don't really understand why Coin/Start/Exit and Option are replicated on the
controller at all. It just stops you being able to do games which require many
buttons like Streetfighter, or games where it's useful to have all buttons in a
line like Track&Field and Hypersports and you can tap the screen to bring up
the OSD can't you?. I've tried redefining keys in the way that you said (for
Hypersports particularly) and you end up with ENTER coming up for everything
you try to redefine every time you press a button "ENTER or ENTER or ENTER" and
then your buttons end up having additional function rather than changed
function.

The problem with Hypersports is that the B button is left target on Skeet
Shooting and the A button is right target. Playing with left and right
reversed requires a mental agility my brain isn't good enough at. I used to be
a diva at skeet shooting, most times earning the parrot. Lack of redefined
keys makes my sportsman cry.

I am looking at having some configuration options for iCade as soon as I can
get it compiled :(
My intention is to have several configurations that can be set in the .cfg file
somewhere for 2,3,4,All buttons and it is chosen depending on what is selected
in the options screen just before you enter the game. Ideally I would like a
GUI but one step at a time ;)
