It would be nice to make IDL SPEDAS easier to use in heliocloud:
Debugging is difficult, no access to IDL Workbench. Maybe improved logging/updates to dprint? Sessions tend to either freeze mysteriously or crash, hard to figure out what happened.
Loading data directly from S3 buckets, bypassing local filesystem....probably not supported in pure IDL, but may be possible with a DLM (maybe in CDF library?)
tplot-style graphics don't work in the cloud, need object graphics. Simone will send some examples.
Possibly smaller subpackages or subsets (as IDL jupiter notebooks?)
Get team members to use SPEDAS in heliocloud to get first hand experience with issues in that environment
Not necessarily to fix everything, but see what works or not.
