The ISTP standard defines a UNIT_PTR attribute that can point to another CDF variable, in lieu of directly specifying the UNITS attribute (much like LABL_PTR_1, etc). SPEDAS doesn't yet support this attribute, but it should. Our SLP CDFs use UNIT_PTR in several places, but calling spd_cdf2tplot directly doesn't set the units in the DATA_ATT structure in the dlimits.
