Fixed the missing call to report to other part of UI that a split has happened. #3

This event seems to have been added as part of the split of backend and frontend without doing a complete analysis of all possible ways to do a split.

I will in the coming days put in a feature request for a complete API in order to get it more central in the design to avoid this in the future.
