Ignore the color where branch name is shown, it's an issue with the background theme, otherwise it is shown fine.

Umm.. I stopped using hyper at that time. Sorry for the late reply.

Just saw this issue and wanted to say the theme is due to bash config files which are loaded, so for root too you have to install it again.
