Having issue with the java in _update_menu.html.erb. I need it so that it's compatible with both 1.4 and 2.x. Any help would be nice!!

Which version of jQuery is Redmine 1.4 using? If the version is too old, then maybe it's not working in both versions.

I could have a look, could you please show me exactly which code do you mean?

Ok. Redmine 1.4 uses PrototypeJS. So no luck in making the same code work on both versions. We need to write JavaScript for each version of Redmine.
