Measured voltage is negative. #18

Hi Spencer,

When I connect to a scope, I am reading negative pulses. I cannot identify where I went wrong. Is there a way I can change the code to correct this? I tried making my threshold and resets negative, as well as flipping the inequalities, but it did not count. What do you suggest?

Hi,

That’s a new one to me. We’ll have to back up test a few things. When you measure the voltage on the 2x3 pin header between HV and GND, do you see 29.5V? Are the pulses that you see the correct shape? ie. ns rise time, amplitude 10-100mV, and decay time of ~500ns? Are you sure that you mounted the SiPM in the correct orientation?

Thanks,

Spencer
