6x6mm SiPM MicroFC-60035-SMT not available from sensl.com #14

The sensl.com/estore/ page says the following

ATTENTION eSTORE CUSTOMERS Effective on Tuesday October 23, 2018 at 4:00 PM GMT the SensL eStore will no longer accept orders. Starting Monday October 29, 2018 you will be able to order from a wide range of worldwide distributors. Please visit this website for the complete list in your region: (link to another website)

I tried without luck to find the 6x6mm SiPM MicroFC-60035-SMT on the new website, but perhaps I'm just not searching right.

Hi Ben,

I was just informed that SensL was purchased by ON Semiconductors. Apparently ON Semiconductors now sells the 6x6mm SiPM MicroFC-60035-SMT. You might have to email them though, incase their website doesn’t advertise it.

Thanks,

Spencer

Hello,

I was in contact with a sales person at SensL and I've got the following information:

As you’re aware SensL was acquired by ON Semiconductor in May 2018 and effective now we are now only processing quotes and orders through the ON Semiconductor sales channels. What we would suggest are the following steps:

  1. Visit the ON Semiconductor website and select a distributor in your region. http://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/locateSalesSupport.do a. You can select any distributor on the list but Arrow Electronics and Mouser have both agreed to have staged inventory

  2. Validate the part number you are looking to purchase: a. The SensL part numbers for the most part have not changed. A complete list is on the ON Semi website along with updated datasheets and ordering information: http://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/parametrics/17940/products b. If you are ordering single SiPMs (i.e. MicroFC-30035-MLP) it is possible to order in small increments but you need to add the following suffix to the former part number (i.e MicroFC-30035-MLP-TR1) and then you will get a quote for quantity 1-2999. If you require a complete reel in increments of 3K pieces you would change the suffix to “-TR”. Orders for <50 pieces will be delivered on tape. If you order between 50-2999 they will be delivered on a partial reel. Full reels are increments of 3,000 pieces.

For small amounts you need to order the "MicroFC-60035-SMT-TR1" at one of the local ON Semiconductors distribution partners.

I haven't ordered from them but apparently Mouser has them at a very good price. Half of what I paid for :C. https://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/ON-Semiconductor/MicroFC-60035-SMT-TR?qs=sGAEpiMZZMve4%2fbfQkoj%252bAZflD0ALTm0KMz0vNhINDc=

Thanks for pointing that out! ON Semiconductor is now the parent company that makes these. They plan on selling them on Mouser and Digikey. Glad to see the price went way down.

Is this the mounted-on-PCB version, or bare SiPM?

Hi,

It looks like if it has a “PA” in the name it has a pin adapter. If it has “SMA" in the name it is a biasing board with SMA connectors. Else, it looks like just the SIPM.

Thanks,

Spencer

Generally I have found them being sold by nearly all resellers linked on the ON Semi website under MICROFC-60035-SMT-TR1 for individual sensors and anything under like 3000 pieces.

By the way, is there any way or anybody currently managing bulk orders or something like that, because individually these are pretty pricy (like 80€ in my country) but get much much cheaper if you order 10 or maybe 25, etc. Not necessarily on mouser but other resellers as well.
