Can we do anything else with this addon? #4

Can we use the checkout notes as donation notes and allow people to leave warm wishes or comments for the campaign author. Then these notes can be posted on the campaign page listings the comments, who the contributor was and the amount donated. Many other crowd-funding sites offer something similar. I believe it is a mob mentality type of thing - when other people see comments/well wishes and donations then they might be more apt to make a contribution as well. Just wondering what your thoughts on this would be.

I'm trying to actually make this a more generic Easy Digital Downloads extension, so nothing like that will go directly into the plugin.

This would be something handled by the theme/another plugin.

Well, if this is not the right plugin/extension for adding well wishes or comments to the campaign author's page then I would like to formally request one. Do you think it would be through the theme or a plugin? I would like to have this added to the list of additions/modifications in the near future. I think this would be a great addition for me and many other sites using crowd funding and your themes.

It would be great to allow the contributor at checkout to do the following-

  1. At checkout, have a optional checkbox to tick if he/she would like to leave a message and have their info displayed such as name, message and contribution amount.
  2. If the user ticks it - then a box opens for the donation message text box allowing the contributor to write his comment or well wishes.
  3. If the contributor wants to be anonymous he can - but still allow his message and contribution amount to be displayed. Or the contributor can also make his contribution amount 'Undisclosed' as well.
  4. On the single campaign page - either by random display, newest or oldest (some type of filter would need to be applied I think.)
  5. Beneath campaign author section could be displayed a few boxes of notifications from contributors - which include as mentioned before name, amount contributed and message. Examples can be found at gofundme.com -http://www.gofundme.com/Logan-Davidson. On this page you can see the recent donations section. Also on indiegogo -http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/we-are-culture?c=pledges - you can see this towards the top on a separate page/divder (not sure what it is called) named 'Funders'

Please review and advise. Thanks, Will

I see two requirements either to be implemented in one single plugin or in two.

Thanks
