Sorry for very late response. Can you check if that prefs file exists?

Sorry for bothering you, I had this issue but a config file was generated.

@GDWingWangWong what do you mean? spicetify config file or prefs file?

This issue just started happening to me. spicetify's config.ini's file has the correct spotify path as well as the correct prefs path. issue seems to be that \login\ is missing.

Have reinstalled spotify using the windows uninstaller, will try again with a full spotify folder deletion

Update two:

Meet my new spotify apps folder

This is not good.

Side note: legacy-lyrics is interesting. new things are coming?

First I run spicetify apply

as expected:

Following the Basic-Usage wiki page, I ran spicetify backup apply enable-devtool. alas

Update Three:

Purged all spoitfy folders from my computer. reran the installer. (it also had files in the local portion of AppData).

I give up. if anyone has any ideas please help me.

Update Four:

I lied. if someone wants my spotify installer, here it is. https://we.tl/t-1yckU9WBw3

tried the download 3 times. all have same hash.

Update Five:

Fith try. spicetify now works. why I don't know.

What are you doing? After you reinstall, just run spicetify backup apply. I repeat this multiple times in every single Issues.

I did not grab a screenshot, but unfortunately the backup was also causing issues, so I purged it.

I resolved it now, but its quite a interesting issue
