Social Media and Updates Page Design Continued #308

Open danilobatson opened 3 years ago

danilobatson commented 3 years ago

This is continued from issue #254

Would like to implement this design for a page.

Some parts of the design have already been put on the site.

The things that are missing are:

  1. The copy paragraph at the top of the page
  2. Ability to download the social media graphics
  3. The copy that clearly sections the Social Media from the Updates section

For whoever picks this task up please keep in mind we do not have specific graphics for a social media medium like the figma design calls for. So the social media graphics can all be in one section.

I'm reviewing this and I wanna do it but I do have some questions, @danilobatson .

  1. What interaction do you prefer, open the full size image in a new tab where the user can copy it, or have it downloaded directly into the user's device?
  2. Where can I get the social media image? I can also do some minor size manipulation if you'd like so we can have all the different social media tags.
danilobatson commented 3 years ago

@lirondco The idea for this page is for users to have downloadable assets to share on their social.

I think the download directly would work best

Yes please move forward with any minor manipulation. I believe the photos would often rotate so it is best to have it coded into prismic where someone can update it.

lirondco commented 3 years ago

@danilobatson OK, I can look into this. I do need someone to help me out with Prismic, though, as I don't have access to the back end.

danilobatson commented 3 years ago

@lirondco Great thank you. @pleaseshutup may able to help you here

pleaseshutup commented 3 years ago

@lirondco pretty sure that the hook social_media_graphics has all the data you need in screens/Updates.js

lirondco commented 3 years ago

All right, now that most issues on this page have been fixed on #402 I am ready to start working on this issue. For the social media graphics, are we just gonna use one social media graphics, like the latest one? I notice that currently we are displaying 46.

danilobatson commented 3 years ago

Yea should keep the latest for now

danilobatson commented 3 years ago

@lirondco Any updates?

lirondco commented 3 years ago

@danilobatson hi, i'm so sorry for the lack of updates! I've started working on it this week again.
