Instagram Posts Pulling in Login Page #197

For public Instagram posts, the plugin is just fetching data from the Instagram login page. I have set my FB Graph API key in settings, but it's still not pulling in properly. Maybe I set up the access incorrectly in FB Dev portal? Are there instructions anywhere about how to get the proper key to pull in Instagram posts?

Thanks!

Access to the embed data requires an app review and access to oEmbed Read, this has changed recently.

@arifje Thanks. I love, love, love the concept of your plugin, so I am hoping to get it working. I did what I could to get an app built and submitted for review. Not sure if they will approve or not because it sounds like they want to see everything working, but I can't get it working without the app working. lol

It would be amazing if you could create a step-by-step document and/or video that explains how to get a proper FB "app" up and running and where to grab the token needed for your app.

Like you said, Facebook keeps changing things, and there are a ton of different options, so having step-by-step instructions documented would really help!

Thanks!

@arifje Ok, I've got the app built and approved. It's live, but it's still not working. Maybe I'm using the wrong auth token? I am using the one in App > Settings > Advanced > Client Token. Is that the right one or am I supposed to be using something else for the Facebook Graph API Key?

Bumping issue as running into the same problem - unable to display instagram assets now, uncertain what a 'Facebook Graph API Key' is. Is this the Client token?
