Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

The following functions should be renamed to maintain compatability with MATLAB:

radtodeg should be rad2deg
degtorad should be deg2rad
ed should be edit

radtodeg and degtorad will be marked as obsolete, but will remain for a little
while.

Octave gets rad2deg and deg2rad via a Octave-forge package, specifically the
mapping package. I have just finished working through the details of how I am
going to create separate packages, so users can download the pieces they want
to add on. I have a working example locally. In the next couple of days a new
version of Addi which supports packages and a mapping package (separate
install) will be released. The two together will provide rad2deg, deg2rad and
a few other functions.

Lastly, I am marking ed as obsolete, though it will remain for some time. edit
will take its place and behave the same.

Approx release coming with all of this in 2 days.

done except will be obsoleting none octave/matlab functions in bulk on a later
date. but deg2rad rad2deg edit work now (edit has some limitations compared to
octave/matlab)
