Thanks @rjalander for taking the time to write this! Im super excited for CDEvents. I do think this needs to be fleshed out a little more, however, but definitely a good start!

We had a chat about this with @xibz and @rjalander during the CDEvents WG, and we thought it could make sense to have at least one ad-hoc session to flesh this out. What do reviewers think, would that work or do you prefer to continue the discussion asynchronously on the PR?
