This once again compromises on data integrity and reliability as species records without species names tend to lose their scientific value. Such potential errors should be handled and disallowed by the program.

Yes, it could indeed compromise data integrity, and we could have handled this!

However, we have rejected this bug as per the guidelines, as we consider an attempt to add an entry of this nature an act of deliberate sabotage.
