Super Mario Bros. 3 (Definitive Edition) does not work. It's a shame, because it's undoubtedly the definitive and best way to play SMB 3.

Copy over a 8192 byte .sav file with all 00s in it, this hack do not work well unless the SRAM is cleared when they boot for the first time.

Have you tried this to confirm it works?

How do you edit a .sav file like that? Tried using notepad, but there were no 00s in there. I removed some junk text, and saved it. The file size changed to 0 bytes.

Would you mind uploading a .sav file somewhere that you've edited?

blank.zip Extract and rename to the file name of the ROM you are using, but keep the extension as .sav
