Added line about supporting other instance types. The new "i2" line of servers seem great for Splunk.

+1 on the i-series comment, I was just thinking the same thing this week.

Circling back on this: templates are now updated to use latest generation of Amazon Linux AMIs (2015.03), and they now support new EC2 instance types, including storage-optimized I2 & D2!
