Make sending requests distributed shuttl's more reliable and faster

Sending requests from a Shuttl on a search head, currently assumes that it works all the time. Sad paths are not explored nor tested.

Todo:

• Test/define the sad paths.
• Handle errors.
• Make the calls async instead of blocking. Fork/join?
