Interestingly, the extension exposes tasks via the command palette (usable, but not as nice as the GUI in this extension), so:
maybe those bits could be examined and reused here
maybe to get up-and-running with minimal fuss, one could get the tasks from that extension (so it would have to be installed as well, but only by users who want Cake support)
