[Bug] Category disappears forever if you hide all content in it #160

Hey man, I bought premium almost immediately. You have made an incredibly good launcher.

I just found a very severe bug though.

My TV came with 3 "mobile apps" which are just the input menu and quick settings menu, which already have hardware buttons.

So I hid all 3 apps on "mobile apps".

Then I noticed the entire "mobile apps" category totally disappeared and I cannot bring those apps back even if I want to!

Here is my suggestion for a fix:

Same bug just happened again when I did "System: Accessibility Service: Hide". Now the System category is gone too.

PS: Please add your Accessibility Service menu to the launcher settings also. It is so ugly to have it only on the home screen. I wanna be able to reach it but I do not want that ugly icon on the desktop. ;)

Edit: Nevermind I just found that one in the top right Settings menu icon. It is very badly laid out tbh that the application has a top right settings menu AND a launcher bar settings menu which both have different content.

Oh okay, so... The top right Settings menu has everything! It has the Launcher settings, Accessibility settings, and even has options to being back apps of totally hidden channels.

To be 1000000% honest, this is not a good design.

The top right settings menu is clearly the correct menu, which has access to everything the user needs.

So it's really bad that there's also a "Launcher settings" app on the app bar which only shows 10% of all available settings.

Perhaps look into ways to improve this? Maybe make both open the same, full settings menu? Or get rid of the launcher bar settings app totally, so that users can only open it via the top right?

Or if you wanna keep the launcher bar settings app so that people can hide the top right status bar settings menu, then AT LEAST make the launcher bar settings app actually capable of changing every setting. :)

I just found a way to brick the menu.

  1. Hide the launcher bar settings apps (Projectivy settings and Android settings).
  2. Go to the top right "status bar" settings icon and then go to Projectivy Settings, Appearance, Status Bar, Hide the status bar and settings button.

Congrats now there is no way to go to the settings anymore. (Except the hidden "circle press" motion on the navigation keys.)

This really needs an overhaul. Here is how I would do it:

  1. Always show the top right status bar with the settings button, or at least provide a warning/confirmation and reminder of the "circle press" secret key sequence to bring it back.
  2. Get rid of accessibility, projectivy and Android settings from the home screen launchers since they just confuse and don't provide all settings, OR at least make them as powerful as the top right status bar settings menu.
