we have a bunch of topics / forums that we give out to people at our school
"please write about how you feel about this topic."
we iterate through the responses and do sentiment analysis. This means we start training a model on a labeled dataset (texts with known sentiments) to recognize patterns and classify new, unseen texts.
at the end of the polling period we now know how our school feels about topics at our schools (teachers, curriculum etc)
What Lincoln is doing:
Responsibilities: Lincoln will focus on designing the overall look and feel of the application, ensuring it provides an intuitive and engaging user experience. He will create wireframes and prototypes that showcase how users will interact with the sentiment analysis results.
Collaboration: He will work closely with Shuban to ensure the designs are feasible with the chosen technology stack and with Daniel to make sure his designs allow for smooth animations that enhance the data visualization.
What Shuban is doing:
Responsibilities: Shuban will take Lincoln's designs and turn them into a functional web application. He will choose and implement the frontend framework or libraries that best suit the project needs, likely React, Angular, or Vue. Shuban will be responsible for structuring the application, developing components, and ensuring the application is responsive and performs well across devices.
Collaboration: He will collaborate with Lincoln to bring the UI/UX designs to life, with Daniel to integrate animations into the application seamlessly, and with Arnav to ensure that API calls to fetch ML data are handled efficiently within the frontend framework.
What Arnav is doing:
Responsibilities: Arnav is in charge of connecting the frontend of the application with the backend services, specifically the endpoints that provide the sentiment analysis results. He will manage API calls, including fetching, posting, and updating data, as well as handling errors and ensuring data is presented to the user in real-time or near-real-time.
Collaboration: Arnav's role requires him to work with Shuban to integrate API calls into the frontend logic and with Daniel to ensure that data updates trigger the appropriate animations or transitions. He may also provide feedback to Lincoln on the feasibility of displaying certain types of data based on what's available from the backend.
What Daniel is doing:
Responsibilities: Daniel's role is to make the application feel alive by adding interactive elements and animations. He will implement animations for transitioning between different views or visualizing sentiment analysis results, such as animating graphs or sentiment scores to highlight changes over time or in response to user interactions.
Collaboration: Daniel will need to work closely with Lincoln to understand the design intent behind each animation and with Shuban to integrate these animations into the application's structure and logic smoothly.
