Error: ROM not recognized. Please try another. #103

Seed: N/A Difficulty: N/A Logic: N/A Mode: N/A

Description of Problem: No matter which "Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce v1.0" ROM I download, they all give this error message when I try to upload it to the browser with the button. Not to mention the browser looks for a .sfc file when all of the ROMs I download and extract are of .smc format. I have a cartridge so wanting to try out this awesome Randomizer version of the game shouldn't be too out of reach but after two hours of downloading and trying to get this to work through the browser - all attempts have failed.

As a side note, the downloadable program used to generate a patched ROM works fine, but seems really outdated because of all the flavour text and file select screen having Seed Images and all this other cool stuff I saw the streamer tournaments use for Randomizer that this ROM Generator lacks. I don't want to have to resort to using this outdated program, please help me get a valid copy of the file that the browser method is looking for!

If you're concerned about public copyright nonsense, please e-mail me the solution. dedrick@live.ca

Thank you for your time ^^

The error is: "Error: ROM not recognized. Please try another." Spoiler (if available): N/A

see #81 but you can check the md5 once you have the file: http://superfamicom.org/info/zelda-no-densetsu-kamigami-no-triforce

I appreciate the response and have given that thread a look. I'm afraid I don't understand how to do a MD5 check, and I'm pretty sure that even if I did check, it would say it's not the exact same file, since the browser app isn't recognizing it. The problem I'm having is obtaining the exact ROM that the generator is looking for.

Could you please give me information on where I could find said file? Or perhaps e-mail it to me if you have concerns?

Thanks again for your time.

checking the linked issue may have a search you can perform to get you set on the right path related to the CRC32
