I have two answers to this question. The Spotfire Server is supported on Linux, but Web Player and Automation Services are not. I would recommend voting and commenting on the idea in the TIBCO Ideas portal for this: https://ideas.tibco.com/ideas/TS-I-5300
Kubernetes added support for Windows containers in the Spring, It looks like Amazon EKS started a public preview of Windows containers in the spring, but I didn't see any other announcement since then: https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2019/03/amazon-eks-opens-public-preview-of-windows-container-support/ From your note, this sounds like it doesn't work for you since Spotfire would be the only Windows node.
Great seing Tibco supporting Docker, really nice move!
We have our environment set on EKS, though, so no support for Windows nodes yet. And even if it's supported, we have no Windows workload, so Spotfire will be paying for this node alone, which increases Spotfire solution cost quite significantly.
