Put back "commonjs" require syntax style #18

Why did you drop support for commonjs like "require" syntax? I find it to be more comfortable, mantainable and readable.

We're really late to thank you for your feedback on this one @zimok, which is appreciated. I'm unfortunately not in the know of why this decision was made so I can't give you any background. What I do know is that it won't change for the foreseeable future.

Hi @zimok. We are working on this. Actually, the master branch of the repo uses the most recent version of the API.
