Had the same problem regardless of Spotify. In my case it was a background artwork, I uploaded a screenshot with another background which is not a real artwork :-(

Thanks @DiegoResnik. Maybe Apple is refusing just the artwork that appears in screenshots. I'm going to submit again by changing the screenshots. I'll try to just edit my screenshots by putting in fake artwork xD. Hopefully, it'll look good. I'll close this issue if Apple accepts it.
Ok I submitted a week ago with fake artwork, and they just got back to me today. Unfortunately, they are still saying the same thing. These unjustified rejections were not happening a couple months ago.
I’ve always suspected that Apple just doesn’t like Spotify because they have their own streaming service, Apple Music, that is in direct competition with Spotify. It turns out that I’m right: https://timetoplayfair.com. It seems Spotify has been having issues with Apple for a very long time, and it seems that I have been caught in the crossfire of these companies. :(
I’ll keep this issue open for reference if anyone else is having issues with Apple Review.
Hi, I am having issues with Apple Review rejecting updates to my app.
Apple Review is saying to provide documentation of rights to display album artwork that I am receiving from Spotify although the developer terms of service says that I can use it. I cite where it says it on the TOS, but they are still refusing because they believe that I don't have the necessary authorization to use the artwork.
It's strange because I have had the same app approved multiple times, but recently, it has become an issue. Has anyone else tried to use artwork and get it successfully approved by Apple?
Also, is there any other "documentation of rights to display album artwork" other than what is available on the developer TOS?
