developer console hangs indefinitely in Chrome and IE #1347

Issue found on September 18th 2019.

Endpoint(s):

all endpoints

Scope(s):

None (application is not using authentication)

Steps to reproduce:

Open the developer console in Chrome 77 or IE 11
Select any endpoint

Expected behaviour:

form for entering endpoint parameters shows

Actual behaviour:

page content completely black, browser hangs indefinitely

Notes:

Chrome 76 works fine
Edge works fine

Same behaviour for me with Chrome 77 on Mac OS
