Option 1: make this a frontend fix Option 2: migrate devices to have these be tags instead Option 3: Neither a tag or a group, but an "access" /policy flag

what is a tag? a tag is an attribute assigned to a device. a tag lets user refer to multiple devices easily for an Ad Blocking or A Firewall Rule or other featuers

what is a group? a group is devices that are networked together. a group is a set of devices that are networked together (by policy leading to firewall rules) and can intercommunicate

Lan_upstream tag can also be refactored

lts-rad commented 8 months ago

we can add lan, wan, dns, lan_upstream to a new "policy" attribute. another one to add is "quarantine" mode.
