You can read more about product groups http://guides.spreecommerce.com/scopes_and_groups.html. I cannot find any sort of documentation at all, about the functionality of this gem.

Same here, broken link and no documentation on spree website. Is this extension dead? Thanks.

radar commented 10 years ago

@ppazos On the "homepage" of this extension: "radar committed 9 days ago". I would suggest it's pretty premature to call this extension dead after 9 whole days inactivity. Don't you?

ppazos commented 10 years ago

I didn't call this dead, I asked a question. Please read my message and don't be so sensitive :)

radar commented 10 years ago

Asking:

Is this extension dead?

Implies that you think there is a possibility that it's dead.

The extension used to be a part of Spree Core a long long time ago (pre 1.1 I think) and it's been moved out to this extension. The documentation for the extension should be either on the README or the Wiki. If it's not there, then someone will need to write some.

So, when a doctor ask you if you're feeling well, he is thinking that you're feeling well. Strange logic: you're making questions useless. Normally one asks a question when the answers is not known. Another question: is this discusion going anywhere?

radar commented 10 years ago

@ppazos Please stop being argumentative. If you would like help with this project, there are better ways to ask for that help

Cursory search through the spree-guides repo's history shows me this guide: https://github.com/spree/spree-guides/blob/38343abf63d912a75db016090479aca26444d868/source/scopes_and_groups.textile. Which does not seem to explain this extension's functionality in any great detail.

Thanks for the link, I was desperately seeking for what this extension does :-)
