I'm a puppet beginner, so I'm sure this isn't the best way to set this up, but it worked. I'd love to know a cleaner way to do it.

You could also use this method to use the deployment scripts without the spree service (in the case of wanting customized deployment scripts that you could keep in sync with changes from master).
