Can you take a look at the Installation Details (from the About Dialog) and tell us the version of the CF Manifest Language Server feature that you have installed?
Sure -> Cloud Foundry Manifest Language Server Feature 4.0.0.201804061725 org.springframework.tooling.cloudfoundry.manifest.ls.feature.feature.group Pivotal, Inc.
Hmmm... I already have a guess what went wrong here, there might be the wrong version of the LSP4E components included in the build for Eclipse 4.6... :-(
Can you try something? In the Installation Details, you can go back to the previous installation, to basically rolling back the update to 3.9.4 that you did. Then add this update site to the list of available update sites:
http://download.eclipse.org/lsp4e/0.5.x-snapshots/
And then try the update again? I know, this sounds like a bit of work, but it would be awesome if you could try to verify if that solves the issue.
Yes. That seems to fix the problem. I can now open the cf manifest editor.
But the language server seems to be at the same version after the above steps.
Cloud Foundry Manifest Language Server Feature 4.0.0.201804061725 org.springframework.tooling.cloudfoundry.manifest.ls.feature.feature.group Pivotal, Inc.
But I see new console log lines [main] INFO org.springframework.ide.vscode.commons.util.Log - Starting LS [main] INFO org.springframework.ide.vscode.commons.util.Log - Connected to parent using stdio
So there seems to have been some change
Yeah, the language server version is correct and the right one (the new one), but the integration piece of LSP4E wasn't updated. Great to hear that the additional update site solved the issue and thanks for checking this so quickly. I will update this so that the update goes just fine for other users of Eclipse 4.6.
Thanks again and sorry or the trouble.
NP anytime. And thank you for your quick response.
When upgrading to 3.9.4 the cf manifest editor fails to load manifests
