Sorry for the delay. Is this still an issue? There is no integration in the project with EKS or the orbitz consul client

Describe the bug When overriding
spring.cloud.consul.host
inbootstrap.yml
,spring-cloud-consul
silently ignores values likeconsul-server.consul.svc.cluster.local
, EKS node ip address (fromfieldPath: status.hostIp
), and EKS node hostname (fromfieldPath: spec.nodeName
) and falls back to the defaultlocalhost:8500
:Sample I am trying to build a minimal working example, but for now here are some relevant files:
I've also tried replacing
consul-server.consul.svc.cluster.local
with${CONSUL_URL:localhost}
whereCONSUL_URL
is an environment variable injected into pods via:have also tried:
I have manually confirmed that
curl $CONSUL_URL:8500
returnsConsul Agent
in these pods. I should probably mention that we are also usingcom.orbitz.consul:consul-client:1.5.1
in our project.
