What

Following the updated Layout guide we want to split the guidance regarding Spacing into its own guide.

Uses new structure, as defined in the styleguide audit.

Why

Spacing is related to layout but needs to contain its own guidance and principles / approach.

A wise developer (@Heydon @sturobson ??) said:

• Layout will decide where two cards live
• Spacing decides what bits inside the cards

Done when

• [x] First draft has been made for principles/approach
• [x] First draft has been made on implimentation
• [x] First draft has been made on Spacing units
• [x] First draft for Applying Spacing with visual examples
• [x] Updates have been reviewed by UI design team
• [x] Updates have been reviewed by Elements team
• [x] Updates published

Content to include

• Gestalt principles

• Spacing using margin and padding

• Spacing use gaps and gutters

• Gap property defines what Is traditionally used for gutter

• Blockspacing

• Spacing units

• Utility class used for outer layer
