Low priority: Feature request - maintaining optimum battery temperature #368

Hi Trefor, Inspired by Greg's post in the GivEnergy "unofficial" FB group about the impact of battery temperature on battery capacity. Would it be possible to account for the battery temperature and select optimum charging slots to maintain a battery temperature above 25C, or reduce the charge rate to maintain a longer charge period (and warmer battery)? I appreciate it may be difficult to predict battery temperature without some sort of temperature forecast, possibly just a weather service.

The snapshot below shows some charging/discharging can rapidly warm my 9.5kWh from 18C to 48C.

If battery capacity is reduced by 5-10% at 10C/0C then some sort of Predbat intervention could have quite a big cost benefit for those with battery installs in lofts/garages/outside.

Low priority, as I know there are a lot of other plates spinning at the moment.

Closing as lower power charge mode solves the issue in a different way.
