Debugger panel is not shown for pyw files #13069

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

In main file with exension pyw, space for breakpoint near line number is missing.

I still can set brakpints and I can see them on right, but I cannot see the red point.

Hi @Archi712, thanks for reporting this. I tried to reproduce this issue but I don't see any problem in files with pyw extension. Can you post a screenshot of the problem?

Hi Juanita.

Here I add 2 screenshot of the same file with different extensions. I restart spyder after I renamed the file.

As you can see in the evidenced part, in pyw file there is no space for breakpoints.

Hi @Archi712, it seems that your screenshots couldn't get uploaded via email, can you upload them here in the issue tracker https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/issues/13069.

You can just drag them into a comment box

@Archi712, I found the cause of this bug when trying to fix another problem. The fix will be part of our next version (4.1.4), to be released next week.
