Issue Report Checklist

Problem Description

I want to know the context of a function, e.g., what needs to be imported first. And sometimes, I want to temperately change the source code. The "show source" in Help cannot do these. A link in Help to open source codes in Editor will be very helpful.

What steps reproduce the problem?

Not a problem to be reproduced

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Covered in Problem Description.

Hi @boyoungzheng thanks for the feedback!

@spyder-ide/core-developers what do you think?

ccordoba12 commented 4 years ago

@boyoungzheng, it's a nice suggestion and not so hard to implement. The problem is we have so many things in our plate to do that it could take months or years until we come to take a look at this.
