Outline not showing in .pyx files (cython)

Until recently, .pyx Cython files were displaying nicely in the outline pane. With the newest updates to the outline creation, this does not work anymore and the file does not get processed. Is this behaviour a side-effect of a more strict outline creation script?

In my case outline doesn't work at all (.py files). Only root entry is displayed. Using "not directly supported" Winpython64-3.9.1.0 under Win10. In previous spyder version outline worked fine.

Hey @skjerns, I didn't know Cython files were working in the Outline.

Is this behaviour a side-effect of a more strict outline creation script?

We migrated the Outline to use the facilities provided by the Python Language Server, and those don't support Cython files. So that functionality would need to added there.
