Spyder locks up when click on varible that is .jpg

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

from PIL import Image

im = Image.open('file location')

Click on image in varible explorer and errors.

This seems to be a duplicate of #16731, can you please update to our latest release Spyder 5.2.1?
