Num lock not working - Linux #19281

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Using arch linux on laptop with 104 key keyboard layout with spyder installed from full anaconda install. using option in GNOME tweaks "Numeric keypad always enters digits" to always have num lock enabled. However in spyder (only in spyder) the number keys behave as if scroll lock was enabled. I would rather have the number pad enter numbers in a quick way than have an extra page up/down and home/end right next to the existing page up/down and home/end. (i know it isn't spyder's fault scroll lock exists but its so useless)

Hey @ajsenko5, thanks for reporting. This could be caused by a weird interaction between the Gnome option you mentioned and Spyder.

I'd say it's a legitimate bug but unfortunately we don't have time right now to invest time to fix such a fringe use case, sorry.

Bummer, makes sense though. Thanks
